Philippians 4:8 (King James Version)
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
-As the day goes on, we often allow ours thoughts to run around in our heads. We tend to think about the troubles that are in front of us and how we are going to try to solve them. The word teaches us to think about things that are good. The word also states, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:” (Proverbs 23:7). If my thoughts determine who I am, then I want my thoughts to be good and pure and not on my troubles. It is simple. If I think honest, just, pure, lovely, and good thoughts, I will produce these things. If I think on my troubles, then that is what I will produce. Lord, help me to keep my thoughts on things that are honest, just, pure, lovely, and good in your sight.
