Numbers 23:19 (King James Version)
“God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”
-There is one thing that God cannot do; lie (“That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:” Hebrews 6:18). He will do whatever he said he would do. This is a new concept for us because we know that man is more then capable of lying. When someone tells us something there is a chance that it could be a lie, regardless of who they are. With God there is only one way, the truth. We have to get use to hearing the word of God and expecting it as the truth. Lord, help me to expect your word as the absolute truth.
