Name:

God has been doing phenomenal things in my life. I am no longer the person that I used to be; God has changed me. I have been made whole. I have been through the fire. There have been many days were things appeared to be down and very few days that looked good. God rescued me in the middle of my storm. When we call on God, he will answer us. However, there was a greater blessing in the mist of all of this. It was the relationship that He established between us. I have a real relationship with God now. Like any relationship there is a give and take. One thing I had to give was my time (there are other things but I won’t go there today). I had to take the time to study my word. That is how we get to know God; by studying his word. This Blogger shares the lessons that God has taught me.

The Will of God

I Thessalonians 5:18 (King James Version)
“In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

-On Monday, we talked about the will of God for our lives concerning our purpose. We discussed that God’s purpose for our lives will prevail. We did not discuss, exactly, what God’s will is for us. The above verse explains what His will for us is; to give God thanks “in everything.” It did not say some things, only the good things, not when it is not too bad, but “all things.”
-In Romans, it tells us that all things are working together for our good. If we truly believe that, then it should be easy for us to give thanks for all things. Even when we don’t understand; even when we can’t see our way out; even with tears in our eyes, we count it all joy and give God thanks.

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
Romans 8:28

“Lord, please help me to give you thanks for all things and at all times.”
