Matthew 7:24-27 (King James Version)
"Therefore whosoever hearth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon the house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And everyone that hearth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon the house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it."
-Just like scripture says, "there is no new thing under the sun," (Ecclesiastes 1:9). This reminds me of The Three Little Pigs. Each pig put in the amount of work he thought was necessary to survive. Did not the wolf still go to each house and try to bring it down. Problems are going to come. Jesus already told us that he did not come to bring peace on earth (Matthew 10:34). So if trouble is going to come my way regardless, I would like to know that at the end of my trouble I will still be standing. The only way to remain standing and not be moved is by ensuring that my life is rooted from the word of God. Lord, give me a solid foundation that is built on your word.
