Name:

God has been doing phenomenal things in my life. I am no longer the person that I used to be; God has changed me. I have been made whole. I have been through the fire. There have been many days were things appeared to be down and very few days that looked good. God rescued me in the middle of my storm. When we call on God, he will answer us. However, there was a greater blessing in the mist of all of this. It was the relationship that He established between us. I have a real relationship with God now. Like any relationship there is a give and take. One thing I had to give was my time (there are other things but I won’t go there today). I had to take the time to study my word. That is how we get to know God; by studying his word. This Blogger shares the lessons that God has taught me.

Obedience & Rebellion

Romans 5:19 (King James Version)
“For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.”

-The one man that the verse is referring to that disobeyed was Adam. When Adam disobeyed God and partook in the forbidden fruit, he caused death to befall on all men. Genesis 3:19 “In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.”
-Jesus, in his obedience, caused many men to become righteous. As we have learned in the last couple of days, Jesus only did what God told him to do. Even to the point where he gave up his life for us. That was still something that was hard for him to do. As he prayed to God, he said, “Father, if thou be willing, remove the cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done,” (Luke 22:42). Jesus obeyed God even when he really did not want to. Lord, give me the strength to obey your word, even when I really don’t want to.
