The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts. (Haggai 2:9)
Many times we experience tremendous heartache, regret, guilt and condemnation as we reflect upon our past mistakes, failures and poor choices. We often look back upon our lives and wish that we could recapture the past glory of our lives. That glory may have been lost through circumstance, disobedience or the malice of others. Yet we nurse and rehearse what would have been and could have been if we had made the right decision, done the right thing, or been in the right place at the right time.
But even as the Lord exhorted the Israelites through the prophet Haggai, He yet exhorts you today! Begin to work and rebuild your life, for He has not forsaken you! His Spirit yet abides with you! Do not be afraid! For you shall see, experience and know greater glory in your life, and experience the abundance of peace, prosperity and power. Begin to prepare yourself, for "you ain't seen nothing yet!" Get ready for the glory of the latter house!
Until He Comes,
Elder Myron L. Fields
