Name:

God has been doing phenomenal things in my life. I am no longer the person that I used to be; God has changed me. I have been made whole. I have been through the fire. There have been many days were things appeared to be down and very few days that looked good. God rescued me in the middle of my storm. When we call on God, he will answer us. However, there was a greater blessing in the mist of all of this. It was the relationship that He established between us. I have a real relationship with God now. Like any relationship there is a give and take. One thing I had to give was my time (there are other things but I won’t go there today). I had to take the time to study my word. That is how we get to know God; by studying his word. This Blogger shares the lessons that God has taught me.

John 19: 9-11 (King James Version)
“And went again into the judgment hall, and saith unto Jesus, Whence art thou? But Jesus gave him no answer. Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee? Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.”

-These scriptures take place right before Jesus was crucified. He was sent before Pilate and Pilale told Jesus that he had the power to crucify Him and the power to release Him. Jesus’ response was that Pilate would not have any power over Him if God had not given it to him.
-Every situation we find ourselves in good or bad, especially when we feel someone has power over us, God allowed. It is important for us to remember that God has all power. There is nothing that can happen to us that God has not allowed. In Job 1 and 2, Satan had to ask God before he did anything to Job. He could not lay one hand on the righteous man of God without God’s permission. Everything that we endure could not have come upon us if God did not allow it. So regardless of what happens to us, we count it all joy. We rejoice in the fact that no matter what we go through, God would not allow us to go through without given us the power to overcome. “Lord, please help me to expect all that comes upon me. With the knowledge that nothing could happen without your permission and in every situation you have already given me the power to endure and overcome.”
