Name:

God has been doing phenomenal things in my life. I am no longer the person that I used to be; God has changed me. I have been made whole. I have been through the fire. There have been many days were things appeared to be down and very few days that looked good. God rescued me in the middle of my storm. When we call on God, he will answer us. However, there was a greater blessing in the mist of all of this. It was the relationship that He established between us. I have a real relationship with God now. Like any relationship there is a give and take. One thing I had to give was my time (there are other things but I won’t go there today). I had to take the time to study my word. That is how we get to know God; by studying his word. This Blogger shares the lessons that God has taught me.

The Word September 13, 2006

Matthew 12: 36-37 (King James Version)
“But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.”

-This is very powerful. Overall, it states that “every” word that comes out of our mouth will be judged. To get the best understanding, we need to look up the word idle. According to the Webster’s Encyclopedic Unabridged Dictionary it means, “not working or active; unemployed; doing nothing; habitually doing nothing.”
-So as the day goes on, be mindful of your conversations. Let them be meaningful and allow them to give glory to God. This does not mean that I can no longer have conversations with people. It just simply states to watch what your conversation entails and make sure that your words are meaningful. If you are not sure of what an idle conversation would consist of, read your word daily and ask God to revile it to you. “Lord, please give me a clear understanding of what an idle conversation is and keep me mindful of every word that departs from my lips.”
